New York Roots

Love for Sheboygan

Jerry and James met a few years back and quickly found that they shared a love of New York style pizza, and in particular the ‘slice shop’ which has been so common to New York for decades. James grew up in the suburbs of NYC and Jerry’s father was born and raised in the city, and both lamented the difficulty in finding this style of pizza in the midwest.

Incidentally Jerry, after working as a cook/chef for over 30 years, had started experimenting with cooking pizzas at home. James tried his pizza and was instantly a believer.

Soon after this, Jerry launched his Little Apple Pizza Project, selling his pizza first at private events, and eventually on Thursday nights at Longhouse Axe Bar. The two continued discussing their dream of opening a shop here in Sheboygan, and once the right building became available, the path to making this dream a reality began.

Thanks so much to everyone who supported us and have been so enthusiastic about the concept during this whole process! We can’t wait to share our pizza with you.
